It was actually an exercise in the Ortweinschule's workshop and to be honest, I could put it there, into the Ilionej Series gallery as it could be the matching ring to a pendant there(though it won't appear in the books) or even to the FanArt jewellery due to looking like it could well be a Dwemer artifact(from Skyrim), but I found it best fits into Steampunk, as it could be the ring of the captain navigating the Silver Sky, which you can find below. And of course, the captain is a woman.

Old and new technology? Or simply two different machines?
Base for the ring as well as pendant was a piece of iron that had no use anymore. What the hexagonal piece originally was for, I unfortunately don't know. The ring was cut off a steel hammer by a colleague, who also transformed it into a Steampunk object. It just occured that it fitted my finger perfectly. So only a setting into each, the ring polished inside and a little tube onto the plate of the pendant's setting's(I only chose to make prongs since there were these notches in the hollow iron piece already) in order to put a string through and suddenly apparent trash regains value.

The Wheel of Time never stops turning. Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, millenniums..
They will pass by. But the Seasons will always come and go and come again.

The piece can be worn as ring, pendant, buckle and; as a friend suggested; a hairpiece as well.
Material: screws and other bits soldered onto brass

Though the shots aren't as good as I wanted (maybe will redo when I have the time), I decided to upload it.
For the technique(as some people will for sure ask): I took an iron screw thread in fitting diameter, cut it with the saw in the lenghts I needed, and soldered them to the brass hair band.
The "Butterflies" are still flexible :)
Material: as said, brass and iron

I can still remember what a challenge making this was. The look is total purpose and I'm still so happy that it turned out almost exactly as I wanted. Almost means, there were of course some
problems as I wasn't so trained back then and this was the first and so far last piece of its kind. And it's got quite some weight, since both blade and hilt are massive brass.

It can also be worn as a pendant, if threaded in the middle of the chain. This way it closes itself, otherwise it can be opened easily.
